The Ju:ik dangles were inspired by the monsoon season of rain we get during the summer times. 'Ju:ik' is the Tohono O'Odham word for rain. The smell of the rain on creosote bushes creates an enchanting desert aroma. I wanted to capture the rain in a design that would be fun and playful.
Handmade earrings out of polymer clay with double reinforced surgical steel posts. This guarantees the post will never come off.
Polymer clay is a light weight and durable clay. Each piece was made by hand and can vary slightly from what is pictured. No two items will ever be alike. Every item is carefully shaped, smoothed, sanded and polished by hand.
Size: 3 in. L x .80 in. W
Weight: 3.9 grams each (slightly less than two dimes)
All designs and pieces are created in my Tucson, AZ studio.
I have all ownership rights to the photos pictured.
Do not wet polymer clay earrings. Do not drop as this can break the piece. Avoid using chemicals, solvents, perfume, jewelry cleaners, or hairspray near the earrings.
In the case that it becomes dirty, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. You may also use a cotton ear swab dipped in acetone to gently rub the surface of the jewelry piece. When not in use, store polymer clay jewelry in a box or a separate compartment. Keep away from sharp objects to avoid scratching the surface. This will help with the preservation of each handmade piece.
The earrings are carefully packaged in a cotton-filled box and mailed in a bubble wrap envelope. For two pairs or more, they are packaged in an indestructible box with tissue paper.
